Scanjet Macron SPCG series self-powered level gauges require no external power source for operation.

The instruments are completely automatic and provide continuous indication of tank levels without aid of batteries or hand pumps.

Basic Principle
The level gauge consists of a transmitter chamber, a capillary tube and an indication chamber.

The weight of the liquid column in the tank is transformed into gas pressure in the transmitter chamber.

The gas pressure is transferred to the indicating gauge through silicon oil in the capillary tube. The weight of the liquid column in the tank is directly proportional to the indication.

In case of under or over-pressure in the tank, it is impossible to compensate the value of gauging.
